sinus misery

Is it possible for severe allergies to turn into a sinus infection? I'm really a wreck right now. My glands are swollen, my throat is sore, my tongue is swollen, my nose is runny, and my right eye is RED and gunky.

yes; bacteria love congestion, so allergies set up favorable conditions for the development of a sinus infection.

of course, the symptoms you're describing sound like they could just be severe allergies.

if you tap on your cheekbones or above your eyes, does it hurt quite a bit? do your symptoms improve with antihistamines?

I'm sorry that you are not feeling well! Try Sam's tried-and-true; equal parts lemon juice, honey and black rum, as hot as you can stand it, just before bed. Not only will you sleep well, you'll feel better in the morning!

And if you do feel better (which you should by then)... what are you doing on Saturday? It will be Family Dress at the Hebron Fairgrounds, and I can't imagine who is more "Family" for me to invite! I would so love to see you there, and you can join us for the potluck lunch! Let me know if you are interested in coming!
