How about going into the trades? It's more of an apprenticeship than actual study, so more hands-on. Plus, depending on what kind of trade you look into, the money is goooood. Last I heard, tool and dye makers can earn the most, but my Papa (grandfather) also made a mint as a plumber. So, lots of options, there, good money to be had, and you even earn while serving as an apprentice.
Eek. Never been a fan of the trades. I'm not much of a hands-on person in that sense, so things like plumber, electrician are all pretty much out of the question.
I'm thinking more along the lines of something that requires going to Uni.
Obviously parts of that entry were going to make all the girls in the vicinity go "awww!" >.< so I will get my girly bit over with and say just how endearing I find that. *Cough* And you're right, the whole love thing does make you feel wonderful and at the time and you really couldn't give a shit about the consequences because of how amazing it makes you feel but you're also right in that it's gonna hurt like hell. And no one can really describe how it's going to hurt you and for how long, just that it'll be horrible. You have my sympathies for that *hugs*, good luck with Sam, who knows where things'll go.
The whole all-but-giving-up-gaming thing stunned me, really. I was speechless for seconds. I hope your will-power can stand the test.
I'll have a think on the career front, as a fellow perfectionist all I'm thinking of right now is editorialeditorialeditorial because that's what I want. Umm you could try a careers site like Prospects I know it's for the UK but it shouldn't matter for your purposes, if you go into

Yes, you chad! We haven't had a good HR game in soooo long! And BfME II!!
BLOOOOOOD!!!
Speaking of, played Vegas yet? I just gave it a good thrashing. Gotta love the MP-5. It's burst fire sex. Oh, and the faster-paced feel makes me forego my "100% accuracy must!" little craze. That got a bit silly...

I've already been crushed by reality a number of times. The high is totally worth the low.
And I'm not giving up gaming, I just don't find myself doing it as much anymore. I think I'm giving up spending money on gaming, though.
Hug away. Unfortunately, Samantha was not in the vicinity =0

:-) GOGO REM!
If you stay focused there is NOTHING you can't do. Find what you love, what's really important and hold on to that like a bogan holds his iced coffee.
