I was messing around in my fic folder and found this. It's short and sweet, enjoy.
“You said… You said you’d die for me. I never expected for you to try and prove that right.” Leonard sighed softly and rubbed his forehead where a headache was building.
The lights in med bay fuzzed in and out of focus as his tired eyes couldn’t adjust.
“I said I’d never leave, and I knew that there might be missions you might not come back from. That never stopped me from thinking that you’d never leave.”
“All I wanted comes with a price. I got a daughter and lost Joc. I got you and you are being taken away from me. Am I supposed to be happy when I’m here and you’re not, just because of your idealist, idiotic ideas of bravery and sacrifice?”
“You said you’d die for me… You have to live for me too, you know.”
Am I supposed to be happy?
