My 4th of July.

In honor of a Cajun 4th of July, I whipped up my grandad's to-die-for authentic Cajun gumbo with brown roux (made the REAL way--not this vegetable oil nonsense), okra, andouille, and shrimp boudin. Here is the evidence:





New Orleans was lit up with lights and sounds this year. I heartily enjoyed myself.
