faiv. Acoustic Cafe Night
On October 2nd, The Melancholics took another gigantic step forward~
Not the best quality and definitely far from a fantastic performance, but I know I had more fun playing that night than I had in awhile. We played ASS (Another Sad Song) and the song above, titled "Like the Moon." Both are songs that Jesse and I have been playing since high school and being able to perform them at Kollaboration's cafe night was liberating. And FFFFFFF some girls sitting behind my friends were gushing over how cute and shy jesse was LOLOLOL
The real thing is on October 23rd! I'm super nervous but it's also something I'm literally committing myself to. With my friends going away to college and my educational life in limbo at community college, Kollaboration is something to drive me forward. Without The Melancholics, my life would be much different right now. When I first joined in May, I never really considered the band to be anything more than just a fleeting hobby--I figured I'd just fiddle around a bit on a keyboard and jam. Instead, it's become a pillar to me. I have a lot of people to thank and a lot of experiences to look forward to...So to anyone who's reading this and dealing with my sappiness, thanks for supporting me, and us.
