Uhm... just how did I end up trying to learn the preliminary dances?

I'll tell you how ... I don't get enough time to practice intermediate MITF to really make progress, and I was feeling quite sick on Thursday (but did not dare to cancel my lesson! Yay, dance! Prelims and Pre Bronze are fairly easy to pass. You have to fall AND forget the steps to get a retry on Prelims. Most every adult I know who dances took their Prelims and Pre Bronze at Standard Track, including me. Some partnered, I soloed from the very beginning. You can do it if you want to NO problem. You've got great edges, power and flow, R! :)

It is interesting to note that even preliminary dances seem to require very good edges - I could definitely feel the benefit of working on those dances (as little as I've done it so far - about 4 practices). Testing all 3 on 8th ...

Yes, they do. They are the basis for each successive dance, as you will find. The edges, clean feet, depth of lobe, and lean, become substantially more difficult as one progresses, in my opinion. A person can get away with "free styling" the dances in the beginning, but not later. There is a reason to the way the dance levels are structured. I sure you "get" that ( ... )
