I just got an email from Porter about the fact that NBC and the CW are refusing to air a commercial for the upcoming Dixie Chicks documentary called "Shut up and sing" because it could be construed as "disparaging to Bush." i think you're right. it's been reduced to

dixie chicks = anti-american
toby keith = pro-american

and when did country singers become the benchmark for morality?

The funny part about the Dixie Chicks/Toby Keith war is that Toby Keith is a registered Democrat. Seriously.

Anyways, I'm glad I wasn't at that game. I'd have probably left. If I see Bush, or something pro-Bush, I just sit in my little corner and keep my mouth shut, unless I'm at home alone with Emily, then I go off. But to boo in public about someone exercizing their free speech rights 3 years ago...stupid.
