I am feeling overwhelmed with politics today and am desperate for an end to the anxiety that happens every single time I read/watch/listen to the news. So today I sat down and put fingers to keyboard and a sermon came out. And it friggin figures - it's about Palm Sunday - no where neeeear where we are in the church calendar - I swear - only I

I love it when you preach. I wish we were at Dwight and you could deliver this. I wish we were with a church and you could deliver this. It offers hope - I think it's beyond wonderful - and I know where you are with this, I know how it was written and stuff, but God only sends messages to folks he trusts can get it right to begin with.

One question I have regarding this? Everybody thinks they hear God telling them what to do. Whose God? What God? Is that what you meant by personality or psyche interfering with God? Man getting in the way? Because President Bush believes he's doing God's will. I mean, really. So do these stupid motherfuckers with American Family Association who are calling SpongeBob SpongeBob "Gay" Pants now. And how are we supposed to live with the kind of sanity that your sermon offers us in a world like this right now?

I am afraid of what is happening.

We can not let fear overtake us. It is the fear that will invite actions on our part that are not grounded for, that we don't reeeeally mean. Yes, that's exactly what I mean. Bush, I think, believes he does what is right and that's because his ignorant ass is interfering with God. Period. We can not - are not allowed to even - see the face of God if we do not get our own, first, out of the way. And that is very difficult, and I believe the biggest thing stopping religion from being what we intended, and from what God intended. If we do not move out of God's way, God will not work.
