I don't think it's that it's over for them, I think it's the frustration of not being able to fix it for you that makes it seem like they're trying to hurry you through. Plus, I guess a lot of media has put forward the positive thinking angle, so they may be thinking of that as well and worried that you aren't looking forward but stuck in the cancer diagnosis.

I don't know, I'm just guessing as I tend to let someone work it out themselves but people who've lost partners or children also say similiar things as well. I think that you should let the person it happened to work through it on their own and if that means passing tissues for years, then...buy a big box of tissues.

You're a sweetheart Kerrie, and you always seem to know what to say. I am so blessed to have friends around the world like you that understand. I hope this new year is great for you as well, peace...love...health.. every good thing you deserve.
