Wiki link! [Personality]
Despite her beautiful looks, Fang acts more like a guy than a girl. She's tough, stubborn, focused, mature, and at times a bit reckless; though it could be considered a kind of "calculated" recklessness. Of course this doesn't mean she's all "serious business" even if she does keep a level head. In fact she has a lot of sass and spunk and enjoys having a good time, particularly when fighting.
But most of all, Fang is very devoted Vanille. Just like close sisters, Fang takes the older role and looks after Vanille. They were together before the game events, having to go through their focus 500 years prior. The time they were together plus that they were already from the same village deepened that bond, and Fang would do anything to find and protect Vanille. Even if it meant having to separate to stay behind and fight enemies and allow Vanille to live. But she would vow to find her again and would never stop searching until they were finally reunited. When she is with Vanille, she will always put herself in front to protect her. She would never let any harm come to her if she could help it.
Vanille is also the person that Fang will show her more vulnerable and softer sides to, and the one she would be most honest about her feelings to. Fang places all of her trust into Vanille. Though Fang will still speak her mind and can get angry at Vanille, she tends to soften whatever blow there is to her words in comparison to anyone else. She will be the first to comfort her and the first to scold.
Due to her relationship with Vanille, Fang developed the older sister and leader mentality before the game starts and it carries over into the game to her relationship with the other characters. She'll speak her mind and take the lead whenever necessary, helping everyone else and guide their way forward. In a way she takes the "direct" approach and hardly ever beats around the bush.
As said before, Fang is also energetic and spunky. Point her to an enemy and she'll attack them with vigor, even taunting them and just having general fun. She isn't necessarily laid back, but she does tend to be a little bit more low keyed about things in the sense that she doesn't worry too much about the little details. Kind of the "Learn to live a little" type of attitude. She can also be quite sassy, knowing how to joke and tease people and throw out the occasional witty remark. She is certainly a tough woman and constantly claims she can take care of herself on her own; a claim that is more than likely true.
She can be emotional, particularly if it involves Vanille and the focus. When the party is ready to give up, she would rather fight them as she would not want to see her friends become Cie'th. She cares for them too much and places them above the focus and Cocoon, though she has little attachment to the place either way. It's during these rare times that you get a glimpse of Fang's stubborn and rash attitude, and reasoning can be a little hard.
[Specialties/Abilities]
Fang is actually the strongest stat-wise in the game and her best role is Commando. So she can really pack a punch, with or without her weapon. She wields a special double bladed spear. It can be broken into a three-section "coiling dragon staff" when in battle. She is also of the Dragoon class, which allows her to jump high when attacking. This is displayed through her special skill "Highwind", a powerful jump attack. She also controls the Eidolon Bahamut which flies when in Gestalt Mode. She will of course not be able to summon him and it will stay sealed inside her crystal. Her main element is Wind and Water.
She also has high endurance, which allows her to be a good Sentinel, or a tanker. While redirecting the enemy's focus on her, she can use various skills that can reduce damage and also heal herself a bit after taking a beating.
Her other role is as a Saboteur and using spells that decreases an enemy's defense or inflict negative status effects.
For Somarium she will mostly be a Commando with the ability to perform her Sentinel skills as well.
Other than her battle abilities, Fang does have the capability to be a good leader due to her personality and is relatively savvy when it comes to technology. She isn't an expert, but she at least knows most of the modern technology due to having been with Cid.
[Affection] She shows most of her close affection to Vanille, but she's quite friendly to others, no matter what gender they are. She can be a little more tender with the girls, but she definitely gives the guy the "tough gal" approach as well. She doesn't particularly mind any that come her way.
[Fighting] Fang can definitely hold her own, having both the Commando and some Sentinel role skills at her disposal. So she'll be up for a good brawl no problem. I'm totally up for random fights, though just talk to me if death is involved. I don't mind it, but planning ahead is always good (especially since her castmates would definitely be affected).

[Other Facts]
Not really important but interesting! Fang was originally designed to be a male (which may contribute to her more tomboyish personality). She has the focus brand, but her's is actually messed up and white since she had actually fulfilled her original focus. She also has an accent...ish. In the English version it was Australian to denote her and Vanille's difference to the inhabitants of Cocoon. The same thing goes with her clothing. It has a more exotic, tribal look compared to everyone else's more modern day appearance.
Oh, even though she can't summon Bahamut, she'll still have the crystal.
