I worried about you in the fires but decided you were in a city and probably OK. Apart from the smoke. Did you know people who were directly affected? We had fires in Portugal - lots of farms/crops/trees burnt and 9 firefighters killed but no houses destroyed so far as I know.
We've been watching the Russian fires on TV - obviously the news was everywhere but we also have Russia Today which is much better at foreign news than UK TV so we have seen and heard a lot
( ... )
So glad you've weathered the fires there. You're the only friend I've got up that way, and I admit I was worried when I was hearing how bad it was getting. (For the US news to even mention weather in Russia is pretty surprising, so I knew it had to be really bad.)
Love your water colors. I've never had a chance to play with water color paints, but I'd like to someday. :)
It was pretty scary but there were no big fires in Moscow. The main problems here were the smoke & the heat. It was very hard to go outside until the sunset. The pavement was so hot I burnt my feet one day. And just few days ago I saw bus engine inflame in front of me. I'm very glad it rained all day yesterday and it's going to rain all day today. The sound of the rain drops on my window is a happy happy sound :)
I was sure you tried water colours :) It's a fun medium, although it can get a bit messy.

They say our current rains & cold wind came from the Northern Atlantic area, so, I guess, we're basically having your English weather now :)
