Last few months in 38 photos

Nov 14, 2011 01:53

I know, I know I don't write here much or, to be honest, I don't write here at all these days. I promise I'll change this. There's a big update on the way. But for now I want to share with you these pictures I've taken in the last few months. These photos are quite random, sometimes a bit weird and very 'Moscow' (as I see it).

This way )

So many interesting, beautiful photos as usual. I really like how "every day" they are, and yet how each one really tells such a story. When you take your pictures, do you take many photos of the same object/scene and only post the best one, or do you only take perfect photos every time?

Thank you, Van!

If only they were perfect all the time... :)))
Usually I take 2 or 3 pictures and then chose the one I like the best, yes. But more than often I don't have more than one attempt. For example, when I took that picture with a bicycle and a baby pram I didn't want to take more photos because I didn't want to wake up a baby who was sleeping there (the shutter in my camera is quite loud and people do notice this sound).

What a superb collection! Those are the sort of details that really make a city come alive. We have all seen so many photographs of the Kremlin that we could probably all draw it from memory, but these pictures get to the 'soul' of the city. My husband is a keen photographer (has done some professional work) and these are the sort of pictures he takes - and that I really love. You can Google the city, but not the quirky bits!!

Thank you so much for sharing them with us!

P.S. My icon is one of my detail photographs from Ciudad Rodrigo in Spain.

Aww, thank you!
I do like 'quirky bits' the most. Sometimes when I'm out there taking pictures people see me and and ask me why am I doing this. And I always answer 'Because this is interesting'.

That's a very elegant and beautiful icon.

а хороши все и весьма хороши, да еще и куда показательнее множества тысяч знаков

Спасибо :)
Ох, да. Коммуникация при помощи картинок часто проще, чем при помощи слов.
