Shalom, Shalom, oh Syria

I know very well that Syria could very possibly be harboring terrorists. I know they're out of line, but It's my country, damn it, and I don't want his reform, and I don't want him bombing the hell out of Syria, and yet, what is suppose to be done? It is going to be interesting (in the Chinese sense) to see if Mr. Bush is going to be able to effectively develop his desired image as a collaborative statesman, after the last four years of going it alone. His least concern appears to be the perspective/plight of others in the world, aside from his monied political supporters. The caring and concern he has is a remarkably shallow show.

But... it doesn't help to concentrate on the negative... praying and helping one another as best we can while the big forces continue to pass hopefully over our heads is a life worth living.

I believe the Middle East is a very difficult, a very complexed affair. I believe it is far more difficult than any American knows.. I see first hand what the Arab people are. We're wonderful, kind, loving, supportive, but so many are so full of hate. The majority of my family hates the Jewish people and believes we'd be better off with out them. It's very easy for them to lie to non-Arabs. They hate America and Americans. The racism and lying concerns me. We, with our American moral, believe we can march in, negotiate and things will be okay. It isn't that simple, especially Syria... I believe Syria does deserve some kind of punishment for what happened.. I don't want to, but I believe they were involved with the death of the Lebanese prime minister. Syria is set apart. They don't really fallow any one and they look so wholesome. If there is one country in the middle east that is easy to trust it is Syria. However, it's just a façade, a charade. I lay man's terms, I believe President Bush has far more on his plate then any of ( ... )
