I had my pre-op today, and my doctor joke around with me, but as his PA said, he actually likes doing this particular procedure, it's a short procedure (about an hour long). I do have some interesting post-op instructions, like I have to figure out how to wash my hair for the next 6 weeks without getting my ear wet (so that I don't get an infection which could then turn into meningitis).

I can't wash my hair for at least 5 days at all, so I'll be washing my hair tomorrow night (that is no biggie itself, since I usually only wash my hair once a week anyway). His nurse said something about a towel, so I might be able to work out something with a washcloth.
