Heading over to Beat's, she knocked on the door to no response. She was preparing to knock again, and louder, when she heard what sounded like a shriek, followed by a muffled voice. "Beat," she called, already opening the door to step inside, "hey, are you o-" She stopped, halfway through the door, and stared. Frowning, she took a deep breath and crossed her arms, glancing around and back again at the half-naked girl in the bed. "What exactly's going on here?"

"You gotta help me, Serena," he said, soundin', understandably, still panicked. This ain't right, an' he wasn't wakin' up still, an' if this wasn't a dream, he didn't know how to handle this. "I jus' woke up an' - I don't wanna be a girl! What is goin' on?"

She didn't want to listen to anything being said, but still some of it made it through the fog, and her gaze snapped back to the girl, focusing on her face more clearly now. She was uncomfortably close and bewilderingly familiar, her appeal for help leaving Serena less than charitably disposed. The panic and the sense of the words cut through at last, and Serena shook her head, eyes wide with panic of her own, still hurt and angry, but now confused on top of the rest. She pressed a hand to her face, closing her eyes. "No. No, no, no," she said, "you're - you know, I've heard a lot, but - but that's a new one. See, I would have gone with 'but I'm his sister,' but that's, that's more original, very clever ( ... )
