Beat had bid on Serena without a second thought. He figured it was the kinda thing he hadda do as her boyfriend, an' the fact he wanted to win helped. The idea of someone buyin' her that ain't him kinda seemed weird to him ( Read more... )

It wasn't very long at all before Serena turned up at the door, the polite smile she automatically wore for visitors brightening when she saw him. "Hey, come on in," she said, leaning forward to give him a quick kiss hello. "Your timing is perfect, I was just avoiding getting anything done."

Stepping back inside, she reached up to pull her hair down from its loose ponytail, shaking her head a bit as she cast a grin his way. For a little while, at first, cleaning up her own place had actually seemed weirdly charming, and then just weird. Now it was just a pain in the ass, but one required to keep Blair from killing her.

"Unless you like cleaning," Serena said, nodding toward her room with a laugh, "not really, no." With the door left ajar, it was possible to see the mess inside, but that was nothing new. It just took her forever to get around to bothering when there were other, nicer things she could be doing. Turning back to him, she slipped her arms around his waist. "But I thought I'd try and get it done. What's up?"

"Yeah, ain't it obvious by how clean my hut is how much I like it?" he smirked, rollin' his eyes. He was pretty sure it'd be even worse if he didn't keep in mind Serena dropped by at random times. Their hut was probably always gonna be cleaner without them even tryin'. Turnin' to her after she asked the question, he rubbed the back of his neck. "Seems like you still owe me a day for me winnin' that auction thing. Was wonderin' if you wanted to do that today, spend the day with me an' all. 'Course, if you wanna keep cleanin', I can wait a day or two."
