Awash with torrents of calm, recalling the dreamy cadence of a long, silent journey across the beach. Gazing across the mirrored sheen of waves, the muted hiss as banks of liquid slide like silk over sand. Your word choice and vocabulary are exemplary, as always. I envy your ability to describe in such vivid detail.

As I was reading this, I was thinking about the ways in which your writing and mine differ. Yours is definitely more refined, poetic, and artistic, but the things you post are vignettes. Do you intend to eventually tell a full story with a complete plot line and developed characters? Or are you intending each piece to stand more solitary, as a pristine poem in its own right, like a Renoir hanging on the wall of the Louvre? Your vignettes are magically intoxicating as such, but would require extensive simplification to fit into a longer work. I'm sure you know this, however.

I'm constantly amazed by your vocabulary.

wow, yeah thank you. I'm just kinda using this space to experiment this was based on a tune by boards of canada - possibly my favourite band ever! I'm also working on an alternative reality type novel, bit too long for lj, but if you want a peek drop me your email address

Alternative reality? That sounds fascinating. Did you read my latest one in bjshannon? Sure, I'd love to have a peek at it.

And I haven't heard of Boards of Canada. How would you describe them?

Yeh i read it, you're setting it in Bristol which is where I live, have you been here before? 911 should be 999 though!

You should try to download some boards of canada, 'music has the rights to children' comes highly recommended - very chilled and mellow, has an eerie middle-of-nowhere sound!

There's some of my writing at www.rateyourwriting.com - a great place to get honest feedback from other writers. The username is renegade_snares
