Dude, I'm not hatin'. Anime was the thing that got me interested in Japanese, after all. And wolves are love. I remember seeing a really awesome pack when I was in Yellowstone. The guys were everywhere, and fiercely protected.
Too bad Japan hunted the species to extinction, though. :/

How cool that you actually saw a pack! I've read that it's extremely difficult (except sometimes within controlled environments) to see even a wolf anywhere, since they are so afraid of humans now.

Just looked up info on wolves in Japan and, as you may already know, the Japanese outlook on wolves was fine until that magic year, 1868. Thanks, westerners, for bringing your crazy wolf anxieties to Japan and wiping out their entire wolf population in just 30 years. Nice.
