Okay, so I know that, right now, I'm saying that there is no way in hell that I would go and see this: http://www.goldencompassmovie.com/ because it was one of my favorite books when I was younger.

So, I know that I'm saying that I would never ever never ever ever see this movie not in a million years because this book is very near and dear to me

#1: one of the best books ever! Though I must admit, I didn't get to read the third one yet because Emily lent to to Orion before I could steal it.

#2: the movie looks like it's going to be AWESOME! Okay, so normally I get really paranoid when they make movies of books, but the author has personally approved a lot of the casting choices and such and I think they're going to stay pretty faithful to the book.

I personally never read past the 1st novel. I tried to read the second one but I didn't like that Lyra ventured into our world.

My only problem with the way the movie looks right now is that Nicole Kidman has blond hair and I always pictured Ms. Clouter as having black hair... yes, I am that shallow when it comes down to my books turned into movies...

2nd one is even better than the first! After they go to our world, they go to another one that's creepy as hell. I love it!
