It was night time. I was on a roof top, looking down at people. I was probably smoking my 4th cigarette or maybe more. I lost count as I looked down to those people. Those filthy people. The smiles on their faces were the perfect masks to hide their sins. Those students weren't nothing else but a couple of sinners who would burn in hell. Just like me. The cold was freezing my bones and I could hardly breath. My lips turned purple and I couldn't feel my fingers. But it was all secondary. I had a mission, and nothing would stop me from doing what I had to do.
And besides, as soon I started moving my legs I would get warmer, for sure. It was like that. And it wasn't like I had a choice was it? I had to do what I was told to, and no matter how much I was in pain, how much I wanted a warm place to stay the night, I couldn't. My eyes were scanning the people there. I'm looking for my target. I know he'll be here, I know sooner or later he'll come, and when he does, he'll regret all the bad things he did in his life. I can't help but find ironic how those disgusting sinners always beg God for salvation when it's God who wants them dead. If regret killed, I would be dead for many years by now....My soul would be burning for centuries...
“Jinki, what are you doing?” A woman with beautiful features and dark brown hair asked. The man at the window looked to her and gave her a bright smile. “I think I saw something outside...” He said and she raised a brow a little confused. They lived on the last floor of that building, and it was impossible to go to the roof, unless it was the land lord, no one else. “But that's impossible.”
She said and Jinki just nodded and moved away from the window and went next to his girlfriend, and soon to be wife, Dana. He remember how they meet. It was by an accident actually. He was going for an audition for a musical, and he felt on stage as he was about to sing his song. She was there and instead of laughing, she ran towards him and looked at him with those worried eyes. Jinki knew it was a cliche, but he knew it was love at first sight. And he could remember how everyone thought it was weird a guy like him date an older woman, but he really didn't cared. They loved each other, so what else did he needed?
“You think it's a robber or something?” She asked worried but he just smiled and kissed her forehead. “It was probably a bird.” Dana just nodded and held her boyfriend back. But had a very peaceful life. She worked as a music teacher on an art high school and he worked as a music producer. Who needed more? “You think Siwon is going to be too late?”
Jinki asked, already having second thoughts. He didn't minded Dana's step-brother crash in their house when he needed. Not at all. He always found Siwon the best hyung in the world but...How should Jinki say it without sound too pervert? Choi Siwon, was a very nice, humble man, but he was also the biggest cockblock in the world, and Jinki hated it! “No, I think in 3, 5minutes he'll be here.” The younger man just rolled his eyes and seat on the couch but when he saw Dana smile he couldn't help but smile back. He held her hand, and pulled her closer.
Both stood in the same position and didn't said a word, not until the front door opened and both saw a tall man, wearing a leather jacket and dark jeans and a bright smile on his face. “Good night everyone!” He said as he removed his shoes. Dana got up and walked next to her step-brother and gave him a small hug. “I thought you were going to work late today.”
Jinki said as he stood on the couch. Siwon just smiled at him and seat next to him, allowing his sore body to relax. One thing that Siwon hated was to work in that office, saying those people what to do, when they should do.
It was so annoying. But then, it was that or make Dana work as the lead head of the company, and Siwon knew his sister didn't wanted that. Anything but work on that goddamned place. So the older had no choice but to do it. It gave him the money to do whatever he wanted. He had his own house. A luxurious one, but he would rather live with his sister and her boyfriend on that small place.
There he could say he was home. He knew how Jinki hated when he cockblocked him and Dana, but what could he do? Dana was his step-sister! He loved her like she had the same blood has him, and even thought he adored Jinki, that didn't meant he was okay with the two of them sleeping together! “I'm going out. Are you coming with me?” He asked and Dana just smiled to him. “Can't, have to wake up early. But maybe Jinki would like to go.” She said but her boyfriend just shook his head and smiled. “I'm pretty tired....”
Siwon just rolled his eyes knowing what the younger man had in mind. He just got up from the couch and nodded. “Then I'm leaving.” He kissed Dana on the cheek and opened the door. “Are you coming late?” She asked but he just gave her a look that meant he wouldn't be back until the sun was up. Dana just smiled and told her brother to have a good time. Siwon closed the door behind him and took a deep breath.
He was excited to go out, but then again, he was only excited for one reason. Because he had no one that was worth to stay at home with...He was a lonely man. People just cared about him for his money. Men and women. “How I envy Dana...” He wanted a relationship like Jinki and Dana. For him, if he was able to have something like that, he would be forever happy. “I should stop dreaming.”
He begged. I knew he would beg...they always do. It's annoying and pointless. They can cry, they can say they are sorry, but it's pointless. I'll do what I've to do. And it won't be tears that will make me change my mind. It won't be tears that will change God's mind. This time he said he had a family, he said he had a family to be with, to love. He should have thought about that before he allowed his soul to be corrupted by Satan. It was too late for him, no matter how much time he tried to say other wise.
Now, I'm walking down on the streets, feeling my body finally warming up and I could feel my lips again. Finally. I don't care about the people around me. I don't care about the people that are looking at me with those judging eyes. I don't care about it at all. One day, their time will come, and when it happens, their eyes will be looking at me with tears and fear. Why do they cry? Why do they always cry?
It was rather weird that in a summer night it was so cold. But then again, wasn't the weather changing everyday? It was more than normal, but it was too cold. He could swear sooner or later it would start snowing. If that happened, it would probably mean the world was going to end! Or something else. “I'm sorry!” He apologized. He didn't even realized he bumped into someone until his body almost felt on the floor.
He couldn't believe such a small impact could do that to him. “Hunf...” Was the answer he got. Hating to be ignored or to have someone rude to him, he grabbed the smaller man's arm and looked at him. He was ready to give one of his famous answers, but instead, he just stood there looking. Looking to those small, foxy eyes. All he could do was stare and keep his mouth open, not knowing what to do.
I don't like when people touch me. I don't like when people invade my personal space. They don't deserve to touch me. They are filthy. They are disgusting. They are sinners who deserve to be punished and should never be forgiven. And this man continued looking at me like I was some kind of object that he never saw his entire life. I was honestly ready to break his wrist or something, but then he decided to talk. “Hi...I'm Choi..Siwon..”
(oh yeah, I totally ship these two! this is the best edit I did so far!)
