Salvation Army is a fine place to donate them. All my suggestions are along the lines of "this sort of place" and Salvation Army is a great "that sort of place."

Either they'll ship them to people who need sheets, or they'll sell them and use the money to help people who don't need sheets.

Mom wanted them to go mostly to someplace that would use them directly, give them to the poor or homeless, but said she'd be satisfied by a Salvation Army drop off.

My across the street neighbor is collecting household linens to donate to the humane society. My neighbor a few doors down runs an animal shelter out of her home. Either would squee with joy to receive some of the bounty.

Sheets make wonderful linings for medieval clothing... Or for gambesons if Allison needs a new one.

I WANT THEM OUT OF MY DAMN CAR!

Sorry about that...

I'm not willing to hang onto them until someday. They need to be gone by morning. I already had one SCAdian go through them and grab what she thought she could use.

You could check with Families In Transition at 122 Market St., Manch: 603-935-7900.

That's a great suggestion. Mom also has pots, pans and countertop appliances that they could probably use. Thank you!

Thank _you_ for taking the effort to donate them instead of throwing them out.

They ended up at the Salvation Army. Mom doesn't like Families in Transition, because she thinks they store their unsorted stock poorly. She doesn't like Goodwill because she heard they're a franchise.

Whatever. Not in a landfill.
