Recently, I've mentioned finishing the novels Matter by Iain M Banks (brilliant, one of my favourite Culture novels), The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman (also brilliant, better than Stardust IMO) and A Spot of Bother by Mark Haddon (not my usual taste, but amusing, touching and certainly worth reading), and the non-fiction Curing MS by Howard L ( Read more... )

MS: I was speaking to one of our agents yesterday about his daughter who has the type 4 MS - which I'm told is the most aggressive type (I don't know, that's what I'm told) - he tells me that she gets a helluva lot of benefit from using an oxygen tent and apparently she goes twice a weeks as it invigorates her for up to 72 hours afterwards.

Ooh - I've heard about hyperbaric oxygen treatment, maybe something similar. Thanks for the info :-)

I don't know whether you heard the news article today asking for volunteers (somewhere south) to be infested with intestinal worms as there is a theory by some immunologists that they may help with certain disorders, MS being one of them.

Don't reckon they'll agree to give me any other treatment while I'm on the Tysabri, at least definitely not till I've been on it for a few months and they can see what effect it's having. Super powers may have to wait...
