My favourite chicken curry recipe has a sauce that is made almost entirely of pureed vegetables, which works wonderfully 'cos it just tastes like thick, tasty, rich, fatty curry sauce, despite actually being lentils, spinach, squash, onion, garlic, and aubergine.

I don't mind a little cabbage occasionally and I love spinach but sorry on this point I DON'T BELIEVE YOU. I know that leafy stuff raw has a much milder flavour (especially stuff like cabbage) but kale, which I tried for the first time last year as everyone seemed to be eating it, is foul and nasty and I never want to go near it again.

Honest! I wasn't convinced either, but as long as the ratio of fruit:kale is 60:40 (or higher) and you blitz the smoothie enough to break everything up, you really can't taste it
