Yesterday I broke a piece of equipment in our lab. I mean, it's not like I stepped on it or threw it down a flight or stairs, but it is in need of repair because of my carelessness, complacency and haste. It's a high frequency SMA terminated RF cable assembly. It's not a precious artifact or anything but it IS a $10,000 piece of copper and rubber.

The over-confidence thing happens to everyone. Once you kind of settle into a routine, it's easy to perform a task assuming everything's going to run smoothly, as always. Happens. Doesn't make it suck any less when it does, though.
Oh, and I'm not stalking your journal, I swear. Work is sloooow lately.
