1. Look over here - The Stars Are Dull
“I refuse to give into your little games,” Cloud said sternly, but Reno only laughed. “You’re so childish.”
In response the redhead continued to poke at the blonde’s arm in the same spot, probably making a bruise. Cloud sighed heavily, finally whipping his head to the side.
“What IS it!?” he snapped quickly. He was tired enough as it was, and he didn’t need the Turk’s antics right now.
Reno shrunk back a bit, though only for a moment before sprouting that grin again.
“What, I need a reason?” he mock pouted. “Maybe I just like lookin’ at’cha! Maybe I like to touch you.”
“Knock it off,” the blonde warned, suppressing a blush best he could before turning his attention back to the stars. Damn Reno, damn him for ruining his moment. Damn him for his restlessness and his probing and his -
“Stop it!” Cloud finally shouted, voice repeating the command back to him in the night air. He put a hand over the overly-poked shoulder but refused to look Reno in the eyes. It would only encourage him.
“Aw don’t be like that, Cloud. C’mon, I actually have something to show you this time.”
He contemplated. He didn’t want to fall victim to another prank, small and harmless as it might be.
“Come on,” he pressed again, grazing his slender fingers to Cloud’s chin without really applying any pressure, just the way he knew the blonde liked, not forcing anything on him but requesting it instead. “Look over here.”
For whatever reason, may it be obligation or curiosity or lacking reason altogether, Cloud looked, turned his head to see only to be blinded by a flash of red and startled by stolen breath. As soon as it registered that Cloud’s head was turning, Reno had dived in, drilling his tongue skillfully past the blonde’s lips and into his mouth. He had done this technique on several targets on missions in order to retrieve information but it worked just as good on the real deal. Maybe even better.
Reno smiled into the kiss when he thought this, patting the other boy on the cheek when he finally pulled away.
“Alright, you’re free to continue doing what you were doing.”
Cloud blinked, confused. How could he go back to what he was doing? He’d just seen more stars than the sky would ever be able to hold.
