Oh, so, here's the shepherd's pie recipe (for six) that Brian and I improvised based on my mother's half-remembered recipe and like five websites:

So, you want to brown a whole crapload of ground chuck beef (we used about two pounds).  Simultaneously grill about half an onion in oil (cut into tiny bits of delicious), mix it in with the beef.  Drain
