It is hot and the pool is leaking.  Okay, the hoses that make it a pool instead of just a really, really big bucket of water are leaking.  I got everything taped and plugged and propped but I am afraid if I try to actually use it everything will pop loose and leak once more.

Ahhhh...we are at 70% humidity and my face feels almost normal.  (It is so dry here in the winter that my face feels like someone poked a bottle brush up my sinuses and scrubbed).  It rained all morning and now the sun is starting to peek out from behind the clouds.

So I am over on my 'tech' board and the guys are making 'you failed your saving throw' jokes only everyone is kind of bummed.  It turns out that Gary Gygax died earlier this week.  I didn't realize just how old he was or that he had been ill.  Now I am a little bummed.   I don't play much now (having moved on to Muds) but in college we all sort of ( Read more... )

Fandom moves too fast for me.  I mean, I can't keep up.  I see stories to read, or posts I would like to comment on and bookmark them for later.  Then a deadline will pop up, or the baby cries, or the dog needs food...on and on.  So maybe I can get back several hours later or maybe it is the next day.  By then, everyone has moved on.

For months I have used a very plain and simple layout.  My life was uber-complicated (does anyone still say 'uber') and so it was easier to keep it very, very simple.   But now I have the itch again.  You know, the turn your journal upside down and inside out urge.
