Yeah, I went to a couple of those 80s dances with a girl I was dating at the time. They were awesome :D I think they only have one a semester though... I need to find out when the next one is. Being a white male I can't really dance (though I've been accused of trying), but 80s tunes and a few rum and cokes will at least get me out on the floor.

And Club Hell rocks my balls off! ...well, not literally of course, but it's still a neat place. I probably go there once a week or so. You should come out some time.

I went to Hell about twice, and it was nice. thorny_rose July 22 2005, 02:51:10 UTC
Anyways, while you're making all that money and not spending it, at least save invest it for retirement or something responsible like that. The sooner you get your nestegg, the sooner you don't have to work anymore.

That was my original plan, but then I reasoned that it might not be a good idea to dedicate my life to a profession where my primary goal was to retire from it as soon as possible :|

Yes, but.... thorny_rose July 22 2005, 12:08:26 UTC
...if you have the means to retire, then you can work only when and how long you want. And you'll know you're doing it for ______ instead of to pay the bill for that Ferrari. :b

We had a party that night which consisted of me, my 50-year-old bachelor uncle, two gay guys, and a bunch of retards. Can you say NO OPTIONS FOR GAME WHATSOEVER?

HAHAAAA OMFG what a bunch. Did you hike the trails there?

I don't think some people understand that it doesn't matter how much money you have if you don't have time to spend it, or that the value is qualitatively less if you have to be miserable to earn it.

It took working at Taco Bell to realize that I had less to bitch about if I was relatively poor but had a cool job than if I was making nice bank but never did anything but sleep, work, and wish I was dead.

Also, did you end up getting the Demons and Wizards CD?

Yeah, we hiked for about an hour so. I spent 40 minutes blazing my own trail over rocks and through heavy brush before looking around and spotting a trail about 20 feet away :P The trip down was obviously much easier.

I ended up getting the new Dream Theater CD instead of D&W. You never know what you're going to get from Blind Guardian / Iced Earth so I'll have to sample that one first.
