18. Uh, I'm pretty sure any sane person is going to agree. Maybe it was exaggeration to make a point?
23. I think Rent is better than Brokeback Mountain. Not for some deep seeded love of Rent, either, but I honestly didn't see what was so great about Brokeback Mountain. There are so many better gay themed movies I've seen and while Rent had me in tears the first time (not the movie, granted) and Brokeback Mountain just sort of... bored me. I've just seen better.

BBM was a piece of shit and poorly advertised. I did not get the "love" vibe at all. I feel bad that the entire nation saw the 'gay side' of life through that movie.

I'm aware. My point was, why mock someone for stating the fact that Rent wasn't nominated for a Tony this year, when the person could have been referring to the new category? I know they didn't find anyone this year worthy of the award, but Rent was still eligible for it.

For some reason, I doubt the original poster of the message was talking about the new category. Not trying to make you sound like a wet blanket or anything, but honestly, what is the chance of the poster having any idea that the new category existed? Probably not very good, methinks.

Like I said, I was definitely giving the poster the benefit of the doubt, though it's not that unlikely (in my opinion) that she was aware of the new award. Some people (like myself) follow the Tonys very closely. My main point, was everyone was so quick to laugh at her, and not one person said was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.

I think that's ridiculous. Cutting out the females. If you're going to support gays why not lesbians and bisexuals?
