sorry these are so late; i meant to post them before but my computer kept shutting down, and then i had to go out. be glad they're getting posted at all, really. i'm leaving to go to the airport in about three hours and i've barely started packing.

Okay, 2 is awesome. Irrevelant, yes, but Empire Records is such a good movie, Mark is the best character in that movie, and that has always been one of my favorite lines. Thanks for making me laugh my ass off.

18. I also would have liked to see it grittier and dirtier, but I don't think the fact that it failed on that account has anything to do with too much focus on the gay storylines on Columbus' part. He didn't focus on them *all* that much more than was originally written in the show. So Maureen and Joanne got some extra screen-time; it's not like Take Me Or Leave Me took up a spot that could've been filled with a sequence of drugs and needles. Columbus made a lot of mistakes, but blaming him for everything and giving him all kinds of outrageous faults is getting old. A "gay movie?" I don't really think so.
