I used to work with Harley Jay back in Arizona; we did some stage shows together. And I can safely say, without a doubt....he's a talentless hack and he can't play a straight man to save his friggin' life! How he took Jed Resnick's job; I'll never know. (Jed, you are the best Mark EVER...aside from Anthony, of course!)

God, I am so sick of all the Jed fangirls. The guy is a kid who has no idea what he's doing, but because he's cute he's the BEST MARK EVER, OMG!

I'm no Jed fangirl but you're absolutely wrong to think he's someone who has no idea what he's doing. He is an excellent actor who has performed since he was a child. He's excelled at an Ivy League college where he's not only been acclaimed as an actor but as a writer and playwright. His work has been performed there by others. He is an intelligent, talented actor who gave a very nuanced performance as Mark, and continues to do so now in Japan. In any case, 22 is not exactly 'a kid'. It's old compared to Matt Caplan when he was cast in Rent. Jed's cute, yes, but he's also very talented.

I find it funny that you called me a "Jed Fangirl." I'm 25 years old, I'm married, I'm a man, I have a 1 year old daughter and I happen to know a thing or two about talent! I've been in this business for over 15 years now and I've seen just about every "Mark" out there...and Harley Jay ain't "Mark" at all. I know him personally; he's not only a talentless hack, he's extremely homosexual (he should be playing Angel; Harley's one of those "over-the-top" gay guys who has a really feminine voice) and he's an asshole too! Jed Resnick was the best Mark I've ever seen (aside from Anthony; of course) and as I said before...I've seen them ALL! Why Matt Caplan is on Broadway instead of Jed Resnick...I'll never know...Caplan stinks! I saw him back when he was with the touring company and he was pathetic.
