This time I am using coutil and linen, and boning with a combo of thin cable ties and steel boning. Last time I used drill and silk and boned the whole thing with thick cable ties (like the kind you use for duct work in your home) and I hated it. It was too rigid and the silk frayed like a b*tch.

Good to know. I wasn't sure if I should cover my stays in silk, but the raveling thing makes me want to curl into a ball and sob at the thought.
