well, i'm going to turn 26 in 9 days. a little sad to be moving out of the mid-twenties and into the late twenties. I've decided that the only definite thing I want to do is go to Chuck E Cheese for dinner and games. After that, who knows? maybe bowling...maybe putt-putt...we'll just try to play it by ear. My dad is home safe and sound. He got home around 5pm last night (Tuesday) and has tons of stories to tell. I'm just relieved that he's back. whew.

No sooner had I posted my last entry that my mother called to let me know that my dad is in Amman, Jordan. This is a good thing because they are traveling back to the U.S., but were delayed in Baghdad for a while due to a sandstorm. It's much better to be in Amman, then in Baghdad. My step-grandfather died last night. My mom called to let me know this morning and I have been studying all day so I haven't allowed myself to think about it too much. So my dad left for Iraq today. He left as part of a two man video crew to document the 163rd Indiana National Guard unit for a documentary that will be aired sometime in September on WFIE. Isn't it completely amazing how someone you never met, touches your life so much. I never met Brandon, but knew him by reputation. So I had a really weird dream last night. Not only were the events in the dream odd, but there was a person in it that is someone I've never met. And he didn't look like anyone i've ever met before either. But, it was one of those dreams that sticks with you and now I feel haunted by this guy in my dream.
