Session 9
I watched Session 9 today with my friend John, and while it was a very good and creepy movie, I don't know if I am quite getting what was going on.
It seems to me that it's pretty much a movie about a guy who snaps one day, kills his wife, then kills his crew so no one finds out about it. However, that just doesn't ring completely true to me, because it would make the whole subplot with Mary and the audio tapes pretty much meaningless.
Also, the theatrical trailer mentioned something about possession, so I think that perhaps Gordon was possessed by the spirit of Mary. The fact that in one scene Gordon was sitting on a large tree branch that was over the broken headstone of Mary gives this arguement more strength. So for all of you who have seen this, what do you think happened?
Also, I watched Shaun of the Dead today. I can't really say any more about it than what everyone else has said. Funny as hell, great movie.
