B) How many are there (excluding the two books done for charity)?
Seven. Although there is another one out that was done for charity after Deathly Hallows was released.
C)Which one was your favourite? Explain.
Deathly Hallows is my favorite. I have only been able to read it one time. So much emotion was pulled from me as I read the book, at times even wondering if I could finish it. I put the book down at least two different times in my mad rush to read it all. Both of the times were attributed to a death. I may not like how the book ended, but it quickly became my favorite.
4. A)If you attended Hogwarts, what would be your favourite subject?
Potions would be my favorite class followed closely by Herbology
B) Why?
I love to mix things. Currently I have a “side business” of mixing different herbs to create bath salts and teas. It falls more towards the Herbology side of needing to know different plants, but you need to know how they react with one another for the proper outcome. Potions is very exact. In order for the perfect mixture, the proper amounts of herbs need to be added.
5. If you could store one memory in a Pensieve, what would it be? Explain.
I have so many that I would want to store and none of them are ones that I would want to share. I find this question harder than it should be. I want to store the sad and dark memories, not the happy ones. Both of my daughter’s births I would love to store, but I would also want to keep them in my head to hold them close to me. My wedding day would be a day worth storing, but again I would rather hold that one close to me and not place it in a bowl to view only when I need to.
I will have to go back to my mother’s death. Watching her die slowly followed by her final moments when I could still feel her eyes on me. I would not be who I am today if not for those moments, but they are not something that I want to hold onto closely. I would probably put them in the jar and leave them in the cabinet if I could.
6. If you were to face a boggart, what do you think it would it turn into?
Being a mother, my boggart is much like Molly Weasley’s. My biggest fear is losing my babies.
Explain why you think this.
No parent should have to watch their child die or have to bury their child.
7. What do you think you would you see in the Mirror of Erised?
To lighten things up a bit, I would see perfect ending of Deathly Hallows.
Seriously, though, I would see my family and I living in a nice house living comfortably. All of us would be happy.
8. Would you have put your name in the Goblet of Fire? Explain your reasoning.
No. I would not want the “glory” and “fame” that the contest holds. I definitely would not want the possible death. I love dragons, but I’m perfectly happy looking at them from a distance and not trying to steal their eggs.
9. A)Would you use an Unforgiveable Curse, and if so, under what circumstances would you use an Unforgivable Curse?
Yes, I would use an Unforgivable Curse. The circumstances would vary. If someone is trying to kill me, yes I will protect myself. If someone attacks or hurts my family, then there will be vengeance. I am very protective of my family.
B)Why?
The Unforgivable Curses could actually be a blessing in disguise. I’m a big fan of Dr. Kevorkian. When you watch someone die a slow and painful death, knowing that there is no quality of life in those last few weeks, a quick and painless death is a blessing. I’m not saying that it should just be used whenever. What I am saying is when someone has literally been told you have 6 weeks to 6 months to live and there is absolutely nothing we can do for you. I feel that the patient has the right to ask for a “quick” death.
10. Put the following words in order of importance to you: Adventurous, Ardent, Acute, Crafty, Benevolent, Accommodating, Burlesque, Drive. Please explain your top three and the one you place last.
Crafty: In both senses of the word. I can be extremely craft when I need to be. I have an eight year old who needs help with projects. As for the other definition of it, I am extremely crafty. I will do what I need to do to get the job done. If it means coming up with some slightly different methods to do it, then so be it. I will get what I want.
Accommodating: I actually like to please people. I will do pretty much anything for a person, as long as it suits my needs. I will help them because in the long run it normally helps me.
Drive: I have high standards, which means that I need a high drive to achieve what I want.

I am a Taurus, through and through. I admit it freely. Although at times I feel more like a Gemini with two personalities. I am extremely practical - so much so my husband complains about it. My husband can tell you how completely stubborn I am, the not so nice word for persistent. I am very cautious and do fear new things. I can be spontaneous. I enjoy it when I do. 12. What single quality do you feel goes the furthest in defining who you are?
Explain why.
Self-Protective. With the exception of my children, I will always do what is best for me. I will always make sure that I am in situations where my neck is not going to be the one chopped. I protected my heart to where it took five years before I would even think of dating someone. I look at the risks before I jump into any situation.
13. What makes a person deserving of your respect?
Everyone gets my respect upon meeting them. It is more a matter of if they can keep it. If you lie to me then you have lost my respect completely. If you are not in general a “nice” person, then my respect for you lowers.
14. What character from the series do you most relate to? Explain.
I can give two answers for practically the same reason. Severus Snape and Susan Bones. Two completely different people.
I relate to Snape in that he has had a double life. I lead that kind of life, most of the time. I have many different aspects of my personality and life that never meet. Work relationships are strictly for work. Home relationships stay at home. Socializing relationships never mix with the others. It is a delicate balance that must be maintained.
I said Susan, because she is the character I think of most. I have RP’d her so many times, so much so she is my alter ego. My Susan is not the sweet and innocent girl that everyone sees. She is the perfect spy. Accepted in the “normal” world, but can carry on deviousness right beneath everyone’s noses because they are not looking at her.
15. Please describe the four canon houses in your own words.
(Please excuse the war references - they are habit when describing the houses)
Gryffindor: The house of the brave. This is the house where all of the “heroes” come from. They are in the forefront of the battles and leading the battle cries.
Slytherin: The house of the sly, the master crafters. This is the house where they are true to their family and their values. They will do what they can to get what they want, no matter what.
Ravenclaw: The house of brilliance. This is the house where all of the strategies are planned. They are the thinkers behind the war. They map out the battles and see the different outcomes.
Hufflepuff: The house of workers. This is the house where you will find people hard at work. They are doing what needs to be done in order for the “heroes” to succeed.
16. What qualities do you possess from each of the four houses (Please try choosing one from each)?
Gryffindor: I am a natural born leader, when I have to be. It is not something that I want, but I can do it.
Slytherin: I am cunning. I will find a way to get what I want, when I want it.
Ravenclaw: I am very intelligent. Education is extremely important to me. If you don’t want the knowledge that is available to you, then you will never succeed.
Hufflepuff: I am extremely loyal. I will stand beside someone until they betray my trust, no matter what the situation.
17. What hybrid house do you think you would be wrong to be put in, and why?
Gryffinclaw. I can fit into most any house, but these two are honestly not for me. I do not feel the need to rush into adventures. I love to read, but I would get bored if that was all we were doing. I have never been able to identify with either house. If sorted there I would do my best to fit in, but I just don’t see myself there.
18. A) If you could change one thing about yourself, would you?
Honestly no. I’m a work in progress. If there is something about me that I don’t like, I automatically begin the transformation.
B) What would it be if you did?
If anything, it would be my ability to step into the other person’s shoes.
C) Why?
It can be extremely annoying when you are in a fight with someone. You are fighting for what you are feeling, but you can sit and rationally see the other side. It doesn’t help when feelings are involved.

21. A) Why should we accept you?
I can be an integral part of the community. I am currently deputy headmistress at sorting__hat. I have been for nearly two years now. We have settled into a dying out phase again, but it is home. The ones that are left I feel a close connection to. As deputy head, I have come up with challenges to bring about activity. As a student, I wrote fanfiction and tried different challenges. I will admit right now I am not graphically inclined, but I try. When I first joined sorting__hat I was sorted into a house that was not very active. Within one month I had increased activity and was given the honor of Witch of the Month. I’m extremely friendly and can be very motivated.
B)What makes you different than the other applicants we’re reviewing after you?
What makes me different is that I am myself. No one else is quite like me - and I have been told that many times. I am one of those “perfect” people. Perfect meaning I can slip into a crowded room and hide by the wall watching everything go on and then two minutes later be the center of attention, depending on my mood. Everyone “loves” me, but then I’m able to fade back into the background.
22. How many hours weekly do you expect to be able to put into this community?
As many as I need to. I would hope that I don’t have to put in a full forty hours a week, because I do have to sleep sometime. I have freetime while I am at work. For the most part, I can be active anytime Monday thru Friday between the hours of 8 and 5 CST. The time after that depends upon what is going on at the house.

I would consider it. I would more than likely think about it and then just jump into it because it needs to be done.
