To say that Sam was nervous about today would be an understatement too. He was glad he'd been able to spend the weekend with his dad, because talking to him without falling into arguing had kept Sam occupied enough that he hadn't had time to worry about whether or not Peter had changed his mind about all of this. He wasn't sure if bringing Scout with him today had been a good idea or not, but once he knocked on the door, there was no turning back.

Peter all but ran to the door to open it. He beamed when he saw Sam on the other side. "Hey. Welcome home."

"Hey," Sam said, beaming at Peter's greeting. "I, uh, I would have used my key but I wasn't sure if...it's really good to see you."

Peter replied to that by pulling Sam into his arms and giving him a kiss.
