Sam had been worried about his first day of orientation for a while now, so he hadn't exactly slept well. The kiss was enough to wake him up - from the time stop and for real - and Peter's murmur pushed him into cracking his eyes open. "Hey," he murmured back. "Is it morning already?"
"Almost," Peter told him. He shifted position to try to block Sam's view of the alarm clock. He was hoping to give Sam a chance to relax before he noticed the frozen clock, or how quiet everything was.
He also went to give Sam another kiss. Partially to distract him, partially because he liked kissing Sam.
"Just a little bit," Peter admitted, since it was true. He tried looking cute. "Do you mind? I thought it'd be a nice way to start your day, but I didn't want you to be late either."
