I know this doesn`t help much now, but as for being in front of a class who may not have done anything to prepare for your arrival, I strongly recommend overplanning, so pick some common mistakes you can show them how to correct and such as a back-up plan, then if they have work for you to help with its awesome and if they didn`t you still come out OK and they all are still helped by the process.

This is really good advice. Fortunately, this was a very small and cool class, so we just kinda talked about their assignments and stuff, and if they had specific questions, I helped them with that.

These days no one has a job related to their degree anyway, but you know, having a masters in your field should at least set you up for more interesting jobs, right? Like if you were teaching in high school you'd probably get the honors/AP classes. So in theory the students should at least be motivated. Have fun in Japanzors!!

Shouldn't the students bring something with them though? xD
