I think almost anyone who visits Tokyo needs a separate vacation afterward, unless they are really into cities. I can`t even imagine that...
Your Lucy costume sounds adorable! I think you`re right, the sun king is easier, but the octopus doesn`t have to be a disaster--you either make 8 arms using the sleeves of 4 thrift store sweaters, cut and pinned/sewn back together...which yeah come to think of it would be a bit ambitious. You could also use crepe paper streamers (tentacles) and a paper bag (head, with holes cut for eyes, nose and mouth), with tape or glue to hold it all together.
Haha! I totally agree about the separate vacation. Next time I'm breaking free of the city for at least a couple of days!
I'm so excited about my costume! lol. And I do think that Seb will be easily talked into changing costumes. Although your ideas sound awesome for the octopus! We might have to wait for Halloween for that (good to have spare costumes anyway, right?)
LOL a costume party for Rock Band is such a cute idea xD When I heard they were releasing that I actually thought of you immediately, and wondered what you'd think of it-- I love the Guitar Hero and Rock Band games, but I just can't imagine playing that many Beatles songs on it. Not that they aren't good, they're just so different from the normal fare. The last one released was Metallica, after all xD Anyway though you should take pictures because you are going to be sooooo cute ♥
Haha! Awww! I'm excited that you thought of me! I'm such a Beatles freak, honestly, anything having to do with them I'm signing up for! And OMG, when I go to karaoke, like, I sing Beatles songs exclusively... so I'm hoping that they let me sing at the party! haha! I'd suck at any of the instruments... except maybe for Bass, but that's the instrument that my boyfriend always picks... maybe we can switch... ^^ I'm going to take tons of pictures!! And post them here!

Sounds like a great time, though!
