driving is one of those things that people don't want to admit losing, I guess-- my grandfather is the same way. These days he's mostly bedridden, but he's always saying things like "Oh I can drive to the store myself, I don't need help" and all. I agree that it's hard to grow old gracefully. I don't want to grow old at all :\

I don't want to get old, either. Hopefully I'm taking good enough care of myself now so that I won't have lots of health issues later, but you can't fight genetics! (Family history of diabetes, strokes, heart disease, and cancer. Nice)

my maternal grandmother has alzheimers/dementia and she's a fucking riot. old people wouldnt want you being depressed over them anyways.
