Once you realize its a dead end, there's only really one solution, mind you reaching that solution doesn't have to be immediate...

ring of "intent", really? I have to say-- wtf? Get engaged or don't get engaged, something like a ring of intent is just going to make things weird and murky. If you know you're in a dead end relationship, at least you've discovered BEFORE you're married... or engaged... or intent-ed >_> Right? Good luck working things out, I really hope you can, but don't ever let yourself get trapped in a relationship. ♥
