I come bearing five tiny ficlets. Mostly really old stuff but not posted on LJ before. The first four are Superman Returns fics written at ES.c for the
Prompt Challenge Thread and the last is a Downton Abbey drabble.

BEEP
"Um... Mrs. Kent, Hi. It's Lois Lane. I work with Clark. Look, it's just... Uh, I'm sure it's nothing but I can't get a hold of Clark and I was wondering if you'd heard from him. I mean, with the damage to the city after this... after what Luthor did. People are missing and Clark's not answering his cell... but you know... I'm sure he's just lost it or something. Still, can you call me when you get this, let me know he's okay... I'm worried."
Traffic
"How do you know so much about aeroplane flight paths anyway, Kent?"
Clark shrugs. "It's a hobby," he replies vaguely.
Password
It doesn't bother him that her password is 'Superman'. He can see why it might but he couldn't really care less.
No, what bothers him is that the man behind him, this man Lois has never spoken of before, knows his fiancée better than he does.
Time
He wondered if it was just him, or if it was normal for the situation. Maybe it was the Kryptonian genes, with the ability to move faster than a speeding bullet sometimes things did seem move slower than they should but this moment was an eternity. He didn't have a reference to measure how long it really was, because the world could have ended and he wouldn't have noticed. All that mattered was this moment, right here, right now. The moment that he so desperately wanted to stop because what was going to happen at the end of it would change his world entirely.
"Yes." The moment ended with one little word and the world came back, "Yes, Clark, I'll marry you."

Summary: Sybil and Branson have a conversation about Sybil's new frock. Set during 1x04.
Her Own Way
“I got my own way... With the frock.”
“I’m pleased to hear it, milady.”
“I’ll wear it to dinner tonight. Everyone in the sitting room will see it then.”
“I hope they like it as much as you do, milady.”
“I’m not sure...
“I do like that room. There’s a lovely view over the gardens. Through the window above the roses… I suppose if someone were walking in the gardens tonight they might see my new frock too.”
“...I suppose they might, milady.”
“It is a nice night for a walk, isn’t it Branson?”
“Yes, milady, I think it is.”
