American Gods by Neil Gaiman, a book on ethics in media by someone I can't remember off the top of my head, and a book on mutation.

What's the most enjoyable thing you've done today?
I made a very nice salad Nicoise. Which may not sound like much but *I* made it. Part of my continuing efforts to break the curse of Sullivan-Lane women in the kitchen. It was even Julia Child's recipe - So THERE.

What is the one skill you wish you had?
Some musical skill. Play piano, guitar, something.

What is your favorite historical era(s)?
The Machine Age

What Web sites do you always visit when you go online?
E-mail, Huffington Post, Scientific Blogging, ONTD

What was the last thing you bought?
A pack of mints and my papers.

What book do you think everyone should read?
Bridges of Madison County. No, really. I refuse to have suffered alone.

Do you get cravings? If so, what do you crave?
Coffee. First. Last. Always. ...and sometimes Tiramisu

What is the best place you've ever been?
I don't know if any trip I've ever taken compares to the first time I went to Ireland but that had more to do with meeting family I'd never met before and people who remembered my grandparents. It was pretty amazing.

But just as far as I love this place? I think Greece. Everything was incredible: the people, the food, the landscape, the water...just everything.

What was the last meal you ate?
Salad Nicoise

Do you want to learn another language?
I'd like to become fluent in Spanish.
