UPDATE: (4/6) I wrote an e-mail saying that if she didn't reply by Wednesday night without either proof that she had sent my stuff or a refund option, that I was going to file a claim...and Wednesday night I get this: "I'm sorry. My internet has been going in and out and I
haven't been able to do anything. It's about to go out

Thanks for telling me about the livejournal name thingy, and I am taking your advice. I will wait until Thursday morning and if she doesn't reply I'm going to file a claim.

You're right. So far I'm going to go with a 3 day wait and if I don't hear anything I will file a claim.

in response to this:
Then, a while later, I get an e-mail back (the 27th of March) saying that they were "going to e-mail me", but that the package came back with "insufficient packaging",

if that were true..why didn't someone at the post office tell her this when she went to mail it?
also..if she has sold before she should know how a package should be properly mailed.

that's really weird..i would wait a few more days for a response then file a claim like you said.

she could have put it in a drop box and wouldnt have known the postage was insufficient until it was sent back. but that said it shouldnt take 3 weeks because the package would never have even left HER post office.

See that's what I thought, at my post office they would not let me mail anything unless it was safely packaged. I mean, this was a cardboard stand-up so you have to have it properly done and it's not like it's something small that would have went unoticed by them.
