What is Your Favorite Childhood Memory? There was a big burly boy a couple of years older than me when I was in grade 1 who was generally surly and kind of a bully. One day there was a class trip to go skating, and I fell on the ice and hurt my knee. He was the closest person to me so he gave me a hand up, and I was bawling, and I instinctively threw my arms around him for a hug. He froze for a second, and then returned the hug.
