Rom-coms 'spoil your love life' says a study ...
Huh. I find that I really am not fond of romantic comedies. Out of Amazon.com's top 1000, I've only seen six, and only liked three of those.

But romantic comedies are a thing that should be shared with someone you wanna romance. Personally, there are a veritable Hallmark ton of romantic comedies I dig, but a lot of that has to do with the wif, who can't help but color my drab male perception a little rosy.
I agree that the films you named are quality...I would also recommend:
Four weddings and a funeral
Cousins
Bull Durham
Broadcast News
When Harry Met Sally
Once
There's bunches more, but these are films that stand out as quality romance or no.
