Pro troops Propaganda

It really pisses me off that in order to support the troops you have to support the war as well. I love our troops and am I proud that they would sacrifice their lives to protect out freedoms. Unfortunately they are being used in needless undeclared wars that any American, if they understood what was going on in the world instead of watching fox

yeah, I feel bad that their being exploited by the government to do things that dont really have anything to do with protecting our freedom.

I do not watch any news on tv other than more entertainment purposes, except glen beck has been pretty good lately when talking about the economy and the FED.

When people join the army they join to fight to defend the country.. When they are sent out on missions that dont have anything to do with defending our country I think its awful because they are not dying for our freedoms. Iraq was such a bad idea

I give them tons of credit.. thats why it pisses me off when people say if you dont support the war u dont support the troops. That is silly.. I love the troops and I am proud of their courage.. I just don't agree with the way the government is using them.. if anyone doesnt support the troops I would say it is our government

I am a Marine and I post extensively on this topic.

A lot of us aren't for the war, but we aren't allowed to exercise our opinions in uniform or while obviously affiliated with the service. We also aren't allowed to speak ill of the commander-in-chief, as he is in our hierarchy of superiors.

I think it's very possible to support the troops and be against the war. A lot of pro-war types try to say it isn't, but I haven't met one service member who repeated such a sentiment.
