[ There are a few slight moments of silence - perhaps, if you listen closely enough, you can hear some slight sounds of nature from the forest's edge in the background - before a girl speaks up with a quite deadpan (and calm, considering the situation) tone. ]Am I being reduced to this again this soon already? [ She's honestly about to deadpan back just on first instinct, but then she realises just what exactly the voice is and just.. stops. It's Battler, it's her older brother, and she hadn't expected to see him again this soon or.. well, even at all, really. ]

Onii-chan..? ... That's you, right?

Yeah, it's me!

[Battler didn't actually expect to see Ange here, but he'll try and act like the cool onii-chan she wanted.]

Who else were you expecting? Grandfather? Heh, damned geezer doesn't show himself in places like this. You'd have a better chance seeing him jump outside of a window on a rainy night!

[ onii-chan so cool...

Give her a moment, Battler, she's just still slightly confused. ]

But.. this isn't Rokkenjima, isn't it? Unless Grandfather felt like giving the island a thorough renovation.

... Don't tell me they dragged you here as well. Wherever 'here' is.

[...Wow, they actually showed up together. Not sure how she should feel about this.

...Oh wait. The last time she saw Ange was when she made her blow herself up. Okay she knows exactly how to feel about this.]

To be mentioned in such a way; I'm quite honored Ange.

[ fml. She expected some witch to show up, but it still isn't pleasant. And it just had to be Bernkastel out of all of them. But that doesn't mean she's just going to lose her cool or deadpan like that. ]

It's only natural, right? It doesn't matter whether I'm trying to jump off a rooftop or stuck in some foresty area with wings, you're usually near. Maybe I'm actually the one who should feel honored.

To be granted a miracle by me is a wonderful honor in itself. Ah, but mentioning that ancient relic with such a flat tone...I wonder. Tell me, what was the last memory you can recall?

Yeah, it sure is a 'wonderful honor'. [ n o t

She ponders whether or not she should tell Bernkastel for a moment - after all, why would she give the witch more information to use against her? But then again.. It's not like she has anything in particular to lose by saying it. ]

I know what happened up to the sixth game. [ That's vague enough, let's go with that compromise. ] You didn't think I'd just sit still after the fourth, right?

Witches? What sort of Witches?

The annoying kind.

[ Curt as ever, y u p. But no, okay, maybe she should actually add more to that than just deadpan. ]

What other sort of witches could I be referring to?

voice; chronica May 10 2011, 18:13:20 UTC
Nevermind then.

[It's obvious they don't have the same Witches, so that is where she will leave it at.]

You're in a place called Luceti, where we are trapped against our will. I doubt our captors are Witches of any sort.

I already had a vague idea about the 'trapped against our will' part, yeah. It's starting to become a common occurence for me now, how annoying.

Do you know anything about them ther than the fact that they're probably not witches?

[It's the talk about witches what first catches his attention, mostly because it's the second time in a matter of few days that he hears it. It's Bernkastel's name what makes him put a filter.]

I feel like speaking up. I would like to say "don't worry, this isn't the work of those witches" but even if I can say that it's not their work, I can't say the first part.

[The calm and deadpan tone unnerves him, it brings echoes of Rika's older voice, honestly he never liked it much. It always sounded empty to him somehow.]

Don't touch the wings, if you damage them you'll die. You're in a place named Luceti, a world to which people of different worlds are pulled in. You're a prisoner here now, like me and everyone else that is likely to answer to you.

[ Honestly, the filter slightly catches her attention, but she doesn't speak up on it just yet - mostly because the information is all a little to take in at once. ]

Luceti, huh.. [ A pause and then there's a slight scoff. ] If this is the work of witches after all, it sure is an elaborate prank. But since there's no way they would think up something big like that just to bother me, I'll believe you for now.

In that case, who are our captors?

[He just kind of wanted to get around the basics already, so he was direct. He assumed that she could take in given her tone and reaction to arriving.]

You know what? I take it back, that it's not the the work of witches, because I don't know much about our captors so they could be witches after all. But I can tell you that it's not Bernkastel's work, she's here but as a prisoner too.

Our captors go by the name of Malnosso, they claim to be scientists and use us for experiments. Their version of the situation is different, though. They say that whatever brings people from other worlds to this one is beyond their control and also captured them, and that they bring us to this prison to protect us from another group while they try to find a way for everyone to return to their worlds.

It wouldn't surprise me in the sleightest if they're witches. Dragging people in against their own will just to cure their own boredom is just like them. [ She's still discussing all of this rather casually, since.. that's what Ange does. ] ... You know Bernkastel? I guess I'll have to start pitying you a little already.

[ There's another pause to consider all of that other information. Then she sighs. ]

Don't make me laugh. Are they seriously claiming something like that? Do we even have any basis to believe them on? Anyone can just claim such a thing to try and win people's favor.

No, trust me. With the amount of people who use the journals like that the first time they find them, most people won't bat an eye.

And yet you decided to speak up after all, so I guess I'm reaching my goal either way.

Well, it's more along the lines of trying to help. Waking up here's a pretty nasty shock sometimes.

Anyway, the name's Adell. Has anyone else managed to fill you in yet?

You could say I'm used to randomly waking up in the strangest places by now. Who knows where I'll wake up the next morning when I fall asleep at night.

I'm Ange. And I think I've gotten the general gist so far. Captures here by some Malnosso or whatever, can't leave, can't damage these wings or we'll die.
