I was reading the paper this morning and the CTA is going to raise their fare prices from $1.75 to $3.40 per ride! It's either that or lay off like a trillion workers and then that means buses and trains don't come as frequent as they usually do and what not. Fucking SCARY. Jesus, I'm going to buy a bike and ride down to work

Wait, you cant be serious... $3.40? Thats insane and impossible, no one will pay those fucking prices! No one! Think about it... at that point, youre almost better off cabbing it! The other day, bout 3 weeks ago, my gf and I wanted to go eat breakfast and decided to cab it cause it was fucking freezing out. The restaurant was like 15 blocks away. I was reluctant to take a cab, I kept saying "Nah, lets just take the bus, its cheaper".Anyway, when we got out of the cab I realized the cabride had been $4.20 and we gave him $5 with tip. Our busfares would have been $2 each, total of $4. So for a dollar more, we got there in a few minutes and didnt have to wait for shit. CTAs fault...
