A poem for Josh by Idie and myself.

Oct 13, 2005 16:01

This poem was written by Idie for Josh, she used to look after him and was like his second mom. She asked me for help and I helped her out by fixing some not so smooth parts. We kept 90% of the original poem...enough of my rambling. Rest in Peace Josh, within the arms of God and his kingdom may you eternaly reside.

This is a story about a little boy.
We all watched grow into a man.
The road he took had many twists and bends.
As all of us have traveled this very road.
He searched for the straight and narrow.
The one he would make it through the same as me and you.

We all begged and pleaded for him to watch his way.
but like all of us he wanted to make his own which leads us all astray.

The thing we did not know and still don't understand that god had other plans for him. never was he alone
god watched god willed god waited for josh to take hold his hand.

all of us loved him beyond any understanding the love he returned was beyond comparison. he was a person with a heart of gold who could be stubborn and demanding.

We all have shared precious moments of laughter, tears, and each others fears. What we all would give for him to still be here. To embrace him oh so tight in our arms of strength all day and night. Gain one last laugh, cry once again, entwine all our memories of him.

The path he took that fateful night was full of dangers, toils, and snares. He had no way of knowing this would be the last night of his life on this earth. He was not alone God had the trumpets blowing. He had plans of his own. he was taking his child home.

To all of us it is a tragedy we cannot begin to comprehend. God uses things like this in life to bring us to our knees. I know I am kneeling now. My eyes are open wide for he was like a child of mine another peice of my heart gone but god promises to return it when I am in his arms.

We are not supposed to question or wonder why. We just have to seek the peace God gives surpassing all understanding to get us through this tragedy and all of life's miseries.

For I know Josh is in God's arms now. Surrounded by the angels wings. The last trumpet has been blown and the carpet has been laid out at his feet.

God made his final desicion and said it's time to have my child home. he is leading him all the way to his mansion in heaven he put back just for Josh to stay.

He is with God and all of his glory the things God will be told by Josh and all of his stories.
